I Still Hate Bush And His War
Bush eats his words. Again.
Remember at one time how Bush said he wants us to make purchases to stimulate the economy?
Bush released a statement supporting the amended plan, saying it "is robust, broad-based, timely, and it will be effective. This bill will help to stimulate consumer spending and accelerate needed business investment."
Mr. Bush told his friendly audience. “It makes lot of sense, it’s needed, and you need to pass it as quickly as possible to get money in the hands of the people who are going to help this economy stay strong.”
President George W. Bush signed legislation on Wednesday to put spending money into the pockets of millions of Americans in an effort to give the sagging U.S. economy a "booster shot."
Later -Obama made a comment about gas prices and now Bush is changing his tune, telling us it's to offset the high prices we're seeing (more like paying) at the pump. You mean to tell me he didn't see this months ago?
This money is going to help Americans offset the high prices we're seeing at the gas pump and at the grocery store, and it will also give our economy a boost to help us pull out of this economic slowdown.Bush says he is confident that the money delivered by the treasury department will help consumers struggling with the rising cost at the fuel pumps and the grocery store.
I'm not spending my check. I'm hoarding it.
